If you're looking for prime locations for your Toronto wedding photography, keep reading for some beautiful spots that will capture both you and this beautiful city.
The CN Tower
While you can't take wedding photos inside the CN Tower, there are some fantastic photo opportunities at the base of this Toronto landmark. Along Blue Jays Way or the park that adjoins the infamous Steam Whistle brewery are perfect photo locations that are both urban and contemporary.
High Park
Located in the West End of Toronto, High Park is an urban oasis that's lush, beautiful and full of perfect wedding photo backdrops.
The park covers over 161 hectares and includes the stunning Grenadier Pond, a great spot for wedding pictures. It's important to note, however, that there is no wedding photography allowed at the park's Hillside Gardens.
Toronto Botanical Gardens
Also known as Edwards Gardens, the Toronto Botanical Gardens are a beautiful setting for your wedding photos. Located on Lawrence Avenue East, the gardens also offer venue space and catering options, with a focus on “green” wedding events.
If you want to have your wedding photos taken at Edwards Gardens, you need to obtain a permit from Toronto Parks. There is a small fee (usually $30 and up) and is done to ensure availability while preventing over-booking.
City Hall
With its ice rink and magnificent sculptures, the park in front of City Hall is a fantastic urban setting for your wedding photos. If you're a Toronto lover, this is the place to take your wedding photos, particularly for winter or holiday photos.
Bluffer's Park Marina
If you're getting married in the East end of the city, Bluffer's Park Marina is a fantastic facility at the bottom of the Scarborough Bluffs that offers breathtaking views and incredible photo opportunities.
Before showing up with your wedding party in tow, call ahead (416-266-4556) to make sure there are no other events going on that day.
The University of Toronto
With its ivy-covered buildings and incredible sense of history and tradition, the beautiful architecture at the University of Toronto is a great place for your Toronto wedding photography. The use is limited to certain areas and costs $60 for alumni or $120 for non-alumni. Permits can be obtained by calling 416-978-2187.
Union Station
A landmark building in Toronto, Union Station is stunning both inside and out. It's also bustling with urban activity and a fantastic location for photos. You're allowed to take photographs both inside and outside the station, but a permit costs $100.
